The goal of PASA is to fund research for developing new medications that can improve treatment outcomes for alcohol and substance use disorders (ASUD); particularly but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other mental health conditions. New RFA cycles occur approximately every two years, and the exact number and type of studies approved during each solicitation period will depend on the quantity and quality of applications received and amount of available funding.
